About Me

Nnanna profile pics

Hey everyone, I am Nnanna Uma. I have severally been broken, remoulded and turned my pains to gain in the past 10 years.

During this period I have

  • failed,
  • suffered depression,
  • attempted suicides,
  • faced betrayals and
  • heart-breaks.

Nevertheless, I have had numerous achievements and amazing ‘comebacks’ with a great positive influence on many lives.

I have been through just about all forms of failure and I’ve somehow remained in tact.

In fact, I feel perturbed when people say they want to be like me and I wonder if they really know how much I struggle to get to those points of admiration.

-Why Bother?

The reason I created this site was to help people like you and me walk through our points of brokenness, failure or loss and become better, even to our very best.

-The Plan

To do this, I am going to share with you, a wealth of knowledge both from my experiences and what I have discovered over the years through

  • My professional training and exposure
  • My breakthroughs, and
  • Long-standing and tested principles for getting through any kind of setbacks, storms and failures.

Please… 🙁

I also ask that if I ever say anything that captures your interest, that you get involved within my site.

I love to talk about moving forward and if you have anything interesting that you want to share or any opinions of any of the content I have created on my site, please do speak up.

I love feedbacks in every form.

I am currently 33 years old. I weigh about 170lbs and 6ft tall. I was born a Nigerian under very comfortable circumstances with a very supportive family. However, my path through this cycle of brokenness began at birth.

At 8 months I had a corrective surgery on both legs for severe rickets (thank God for my Parents). This condition affected my childhood as I had little freedom to play as every other child. Yet, my passion for becoming better took the upper hand.

At 13, I fell from a Storey building with the same legs and I survived to still walk with them even after losing an ankle. I’ve also moved on to play soccer as a rock solid defender. Today, unless I told you, you’ll never believe I had such challenges with my legs.

At 17, after smoking and drinking for barely 2 years I was diagnosed with a kidney infection, so bad that the doctor said I could need a transplant. I quit smoking and drinking that same day the diagnosis was made. I made a commitment with God to stay clean, in exchange for a miracle.

3 weeks later, I returned for a check up and the doctor confirmed that my kidney was restored. This was a turning point in my life, socially, mentally, physically and spiritually. I have never felt that anything was impossible again. I am a living testimony of a massive comeback.

Well, I thought I’d settled with the concept, but 6 years later, I had another major transformation. After 5 years at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri- Nigeria, my course of study (Science Laboratory Technology) was declared uncertified. 🙁

What that meant was I had no result even though I was trained for 5 years. I was not alone. Many others were affected, but I took a massive hit and became suicidal and was saved twice by friends.

However, 3 years later, I chose to start afresh. I enrolled for a fresh 4 year degree programme in Religious Studies and graduated with a First class. Another Awesome come-back.

For me, Successful Comebacks have become a way of life.

With the right attitudes, we can always maximize our failures as my most recent cycle has thought me.

After 7 years and 3 lovely children, my marriage failed irretrievably. It’s been the biggest shock of life considering my Christian values about marriage. Left alone to stand the heat, I’ve suffered

  • Massive depression,
  • Excessive medications,
  • Seizures
  • 2 failed suicides and
  • Lost tons of opportunities from depression.

Yet, in all these, I’ve had a massive turn-around.

Despite this situation, I have become a better, stronger, and wiser Me. I’ve gained in more ways than one, spiritually, economically, psychologically, socially and intellectually. I’m greatly amazed at my personal development and how God has worked out His purposes with each event.

With a BA/BD in Theology and Religious Studies and my recent MA in Conflict, Security and Development from the University of Sussex, UK, I’ve come to see life from a global perspective. I can better engage Religious views with Geopolitics and International Development. Thus, building the bridge between time and space in real-world events.

If you have a lifestyle that understands how to manage the changing cycles of life, your mental, physical and spiritual states will be one of sheer awesomeness! I can assure you that I’ve never been more convinced about the future than I am with my experiences.

My talents and skills have all come to life as pain has a way of bringing out the very best in our lives.

If I could stand through my storms in health, marriage, finances, academics and personal development, I believe, I can help anyone else go through same or worse, gleaning from the unchanging principles from the Word of God, numerous Successful Comeback stories of survival through which tons of champions have made it, and my personal experiences.

If you’re broken and desire a Successful Comeback,

you’re on the right site and I can help you become better.
