I Love Teachers.
They shape our lives. They set the stage for what we become. They could be formal or informal, official or unofficial. Sometimes, they come uninvited, drawn by circumstances, all in a bid to fulfill divine purposes in our lives.
A teacher could be at school, at home, workplace or someone we meet on the road. Yet, no matter the title, age or disposition, every teacher comes with a “LESSON”.
They are teachers because they teach. It could be hard or easy, but we are certain that we’ve been taught a lesson.
I’ve had so many teachers in my life. Beyond the walls of a classroom, I’ve learnt from my friends, family and members of the society.
While I’ve enjoyed the company of warm and patient teachers, I’ve also suffered under the hands of harsh teachers. I know I’m not alone dear.
They made it tough and quite challenging.
The drills were unbearable.
We sat up and burned the midnight candle just to please them.
The assignments were out of this world.
Yes, it was our cup and we had to drink it alone.
We felt trapped by their schedules and deadlines, wondering when we’ll ever gain our freedom.
As we persevered, we saw results.
Our labours were not in vain.
Though it hurt, now we’re paid by the very pains we wished we never had.
Who now laughs?
Twas the one who once wept and wished the pain away.
We laugh as the gains come en masse.
Today, we sit and swerve in our offices, because our education paid off.
We look back with gratitude knowing how far we’ve come.
O! THANK GOD FOR OUR TEACHERS!
Thank God for men and women who pushed us through the pain.
…and there’s more
Thank God for their sad faces, which motivated us to seek their pleasure, which ultimately became our treasures.
Thank God for their rejections. Had they overlooked our failures, we wouldn’t have qualifiled for these fortunes.
Thank God for their discipline, else we may have remained in deep shit.
Thank God for their encouragement. While some kept us on our toes, others remembered to encourage us to try again and again and again and again, until we walked over the mark of failure into success.
Thank God for our teachers.
I bet you’re beginning to see the picture.
It was all for good.
Can you see the muscles and your new looks? The trainer’s drills were worth it.
And now dear
Why are you still angry? I know the pains were unbearable. You can still feel it all over you.
Is that how you treat a person who helped turn your pains to gain?
Do you fight with the one whose “evil” became your good?
Show some gratitude.
If it didn’t kill you, it came to make you better.
Perhaps, you still remember the hurts and the pains. But the Journey is worth it.
- If you can swerve on that chair,
- If you can smile proudly at your enviable profession,
- If you can make a decent living as a result of your education,
- If you are in bliss because of the PAIN,
Thank God for your Teachers.
They are your real heroes and heroines.
The next time you remember the pain,
Because of the gains
THANK GOD FOR YOUR TEACHERS.
If you’re considering the idea of quitting,
If the pains are becoming unbearable
Just remember this,
EVERY SUCCESSFUL PERSON WENT THROUGH THE PAIN. DON’T QUIT ON YOUR TEACHERS. GO THROUGH THE PAIN!!!!!!
Let the party begin. Reflect on the journey so far and write down your appreciation. But remember to share this with a friend and celebrate our teachers.
Stay inspired snf enjoy a beautiful day!
